Leadership

a: Martin scorsese directing style ~
b: Bill Walsh's coaching style

What: Former San Francisco Forty-niners coach Bill Walsh adapted his play book to the strengths of his players. By doing this, he got the best performance with the players that he had. Martin Scorsese's directing style in Goodfellas has a similar process. During rehearsals, the actors were allowed to improvise the dialog. Scorsese modified the script with the lines that he though worked best. This approach to leadership produces a coherent link between the plan of a leader and the capabilities of the led.
